Why this Hike
This hike close to Brisbane is the perfect location to get out for a short, enjoyable and beautiful hike in nature. Experience the mangrove up-close and take in the views from the two lookouts along the walk which help make it special, even when it is not very long.
Track Notes & Overview
Starting from the carpark at the end of Wynnum North Road, this walk follows a short and easy to traverse track along many boardwalks and past some of the magnificent mangroves. Leaving from the carpark you will follow the path straight out avoiding the turn to the right and then follow it as it winds its way towards the birdhide lookout. Along the way you will see one turn off to the right which you should avoid before finding the path that leads to the look out (100m out-and-back) off to the left. Take in the view and then continue to follow the track in a loop right to the point of another lookout onto the ocean and then finishing back at the carpark.
