Why this Hike
This walk covering sections five and six of the Surf Coast Walk takes you along some of Victoria's best pieces of coastline. This stretch covering section 5 & 6 of the Surf Coast Walk is considered by most as one of the best sections and can make a fantastic day hike for both newer and older hikers. The trail is well marked and easy to follow.
Track Notes & Overview
Starting from the Bells Beach Carpark this walk follows sections five and six of the Surf Coast Walk. Shortly after leaving the carpark you will head inland a few hundred metres and about 3 kilometres down the track you will emerge at Point Addis (the end of section five). At this point you have the option to walk down to the beach and once you have had a snack you can continue moving along the sixth section of the walk which starts with a short beach walk before making you climb to the top of the cliffs. These trails are well marked and paved and just a few kilometres down the track, walking through bushland alongside native wildlife you will find yourself at the end of the hike in the Anglesea Township.
