Why this Hike

This hike in the Gawler Ranges where beautiful granite hills and open stretching plains can be found to the delight of walkers. Included in the walk is a climb to the summit of Mount Hiltaba along with native wildlife and Australian bushland. This hike is a great challenge for intermediate hikers and is not to be missed.

Track Notes & Overview

Starting behind the Hiltaba Homestead this hike climbs to the summit of Mount Hiltaba before descending back down and looping back to the homestead starting point. Along the way you will encounter multiple viewing platforms and should have quite a steep climb for the first half followed by the second half of the hike which remains relatively flat.
