Why this Hike
This hike to the summit of Mount Gingera near the border with New South Wales is a perfect day of adventure and challenge. With a hard climb to the top of a beautiful mountain providing a panoramic view in every direction, this hike has everything an experienced hiker could want from a hike.
Track Notes & Overview
Starting at the Corin Dam Carpark this hike follows the Stockyard Spur Walking Track up to the junction with Mount Franklin Road. At this road take a left and hike past Pryors Hut, along the border with New South Wales to the summit of Mount Gingera (quite a demanding climb), from here turn back on the trail and return to the carpark where the hike began to complete the walk.
If this hike is a little too much of a challenge for you then consider completing the Stockyard Spur Walking Track instead which is a slightly easier version of this walk.
*Please note that this walk is extremely challenging and should only be completed by experienced hikers who have prepared before they set off.
